There were many Elders and young community members in attendance, who were very interested in language revitalisation and learning more of the Bundjalung tongue.

Poppy Harry Walker and Uncle Charles Moran were the highlights of the day with their in depth and dramatic presentation. With the guidance and support from Muurrbay Aboriginal Language Centre, Poppy Harry Walker and Uncle Charles Ridgeway, a large amount of Bundjalung people are working on their language, shared ideas and resources.

P1070051People travelled from Lismore, Baryulgil, Ballina and Tabulam.

Uncle Gary Williams and team (Muurrbay) travelled from Nambucca Heads and updated people on Bundjalung specific projects including teaching ideas and a Bundjalung dictionary.

We plan to meet every month at a different location on Bundjalung country!
